K-Flex Solar™ products provide a quick and easy way to insulate both residential and commercial solar hot water systems. The flexible, high-temperature rated (300°F / 150°C) insulation contains a factory applied UV resistant jacket specifically designed for the solar market. All products are designed to minimize heat loss and simplify installation of fluid recirculation lines connecting the solar panels and the storage tank. The factory applied jacket protects the insulation from the elements such as UV, mechanical abuse and moisture.
According to industry reports, solar water heating is the most cost effective and environmentally friendly way to heat water for residential, commercial and industrial applications. Solar hot water systems collect thermal energy from the sun and use it to heat water in place of using electricity or natural gas. A key element of this type of system is insulating the heat transport piping.

Applications
K-Flex Clad™ AL - ECO and K-Flex Clad™ WT - ECO can be used to insulate commercial solar hot water applications. It combines the benefits of our weather resistant K-Flex Clad™ jacketing (AL or WT type) with the high temperature (300°F) performance of K-Flex ECO™ Tube. It is available in all standard copper sizes in both ½” and 1” wall thicknesses.
